You know from the calendar of activities there are dozens of fitness classes, creative pursuits, social clubs and committees to join right here at Wisteria. Of course, the surrounding area is teeming with shopping, dining and entertainment too.
You finish your mug and set off on your day.
Pock…Pock…Pock…Pock. Pickleball!
You meet up with friends for a few games of doubles. Nothing at stake here but good-natured bragging rights. It feels good to get the feet moving, the blood pumping and the muscles flexing. The aqua aerobics classes you’ve been attending at Wisteria’s pool have really paid off! You feel stronger and more energetic than you have in years.
After match point, your group cedes the court to others, and you all quench your thirst at a courtside table, rehashing the game’s highlights.

Back at your residence, you change out of your sports togs and relax. There’s a painting class you’ve been looking forward to. So, after a sandwich and iced tea at the grab-and-go café, you stroll over to the art studio. The instructor is excellent – a guest professor from UCLA – and by the end of the hour, you’re more than pleased with the still life on your canvas.
Downtime is good time.
It’s already been a busy day, and a little quietude is just the ticket. The library is right down the hall, so you find a comfy couch and savor a few chapters of the book you’ve been reading. It’s time well spent, slowing down and recharging the batteries.

What’s showing tonight?
There’s always something to do after dinner – a guest lecture, a concert or other types of entertainment. Tonight, you’re looking forward to a movie. The feature is an oldie but goodie you’ve always loved. With popcorn in hand, you settle in for the show, and it’s as fun-filled as you remember.
What a day.
