Hundreds of Future Residents and Local Dignitaries To Celebrate Groundbreaking for Wisteria at Warner Center
WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – A new Life Plan Community in the San Fernando Valley will soon be breaking ground and opening to the growing senior demographic in Los Angeles. On Saturday, April 29, more than 500 seniors and future residents of Wisteria at Warner Center will watch as shovels hit the ground and construction begins on their new homes.
The senior living community will be built on 17 acres on Burbank Boulevard at Canoga Avenue in Woodland Hills. The six-story project, proposed by Spieker Senior Development Partners, was approved by the city after years of thoughtful planning and design. It will provide a maintenance-free lifestyle for residents in a vibrant, walkable neighborhood full of ground-floor retail, various dining venues, and shopping experiences with a wide range of educational and intergenerational activities right outside their doors.

A groundbreaking celebration will take place at the future location of the community at 5500 Canoga Avenue in Woodland Hills from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Media representatives are welcome with an RSVP. We invite you to join future residents and invited dignitaries to ceremonially “turn the dirt.”
The completed community will consist of 486 homes. Residential options range from modest one-bedroom options to larger penthouses of close to 3,000 square feet with dozens of floor plans to choose from. Residents will enjoy a wide range of amenities, including an indoor pool and fitness center, library, movie theater, performing arts center, and dining venues.
As a Life Plan Community, Wisteria at Warner Center will offer a full continuum of care at the health center located adjacent to the community. Residents will have convenient access to assisted living, memory care, and long-term care in a skilled nursing center – if ever needed.
Wisteria at Warner Center has partnered with KTGY architects and W.E. O’Neil Construction to complete the project, which is anticipated to open in 2025.
